Our client continues to grow and is currently seeking an energetic and driven individual to fill the role of a Buyer. As a Buyer, you will work as a key member of the Value Stream and provide support in assuring that overall purchasing objectives are carried out to meet company requirements. The role will also monitor supplier delivery schedules, monitor the flow of materials and components to conform to production schedules. Working closely with both the Project Managers and Production to ensure effective communication routes are open and all parties are up to date with activities to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services. Responsibilities:
Execute orders, expediting and following all processes defined in ISO guidelines
Monitoring min, max and reorder points for high volume raw materials, parts, and consumables
Competitive Bidding, Forecasting Preparation, and Strategic / Global Sourcing
Ensure operational execution and service performance meets and exceed company goals
Develop and manage vendor relations
Coordinating delivery of raw materials, semi-completed goods and completed goods inbound and outbound
Facilitating subcontract production, which includes obtaining quotes, negotiating price and delivery, coordinating material movement, managing backorders, coordinating shipment of raw materials, and receiving of finished product for further finishing.
Manage and monitor supplier planning / scheduling to meet and exceed customer requirements
Determining capabilities of prospective subcontractors and contract management of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA’s)
Supplier certification and performance management
Work with stakeholders to find solutions that are cost effective, efficient, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in projects as, and when, required to ensure continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:
0 to 5 years of applicable industry experience and post-secondary education in supply chain management
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Epicor (ERP System)
Must have good people skills (team player / individual) and communication skills
Must have good customer service skills in order to build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
Able to manage multiple projects at once to meet set-out guidelines
