Director of Sales – Utility Trailers Job Summary
Based in Regina, Saskatchewan, the Director of Sales is responsible for developing, managing and supporting sustained and profitable growth in sales of Utility Trailers. This includes responsibility for maximizing sales, market share, and profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement Distribution Strategy for Utility Trailer product line.
• In collaboration with the Sales Team, develop and implement plans for sales growth with dealers.
• Support the sales team in achieving sales growth, providing a high level of product, application, industry, customer and competitor knowledge.
• Coordinate and participate in delivering ongoing local product knowledge and application training for regional sales and dealer sales teams.
• Research and track competitor product pricing levels, activities, programs and tactics.
• Provide market intelligence and feedback to ensure pricing, programs and marketing strategies are positioned to penetrate new markets and grow existing markets profitably.
• Identify product development opportunities that promote differentiation, enhance market penetration, and deliver increased profit opportunities for the company.
• Provide insights and input on the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and profitability goals.
• Participate in end customer visits with the sales teams as appropriate.
• Establish a personal relationship with Dealers and ensure Dealers are capable of handling and are educated in the product line.
• Assist Dealers with sales and marketing opportunities including advertising, demonstrations, field days, open hours.
• Provide input into Sales Program Development and Product Development.
• Provide input into Product Development
• Assist in coordinating trade shows and attending trade shows
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong working product and industry knowledge of Utility Trailers.
• 3-5 years+ of sales and/or product or technical support knowledge and experience in heavy construction and forestry
equipment working with manufacturers and/or dealers.
• Excellent sales, marketing, and business development experience in equipment distribution.
• Keen ability to identify opportunities and to develop and implement a strategic plan.
• Strong organizational and customer service
• Able to travel throughout the region and provide a recent driver's abstract.
