Site Supervisor

Our client is a Custom Home Builder, located in Niverville.
This is a great opportunity close to home, all of the custom homes are being built in Niverville, for the next few years or longer. The community is growing and they have a good inventory of building lots,  business is not slowing down.

The Owner needs a right arm, to be the Site Supervisor - Foreman and lead a small team -  Someone who is capable of foundation layout, working on the foundations and structure of the building, and running a small crew of employees on a daily basis. Red seal carpenter is ideal.

This would ideally free him up to focus on the project management side of his business and allow him more time to work “on” the business instead of in it.  

Hourly rate is negotiable, I will leave you guys to discuss.

The Site Supervisor will provide supervisory oversight for all phases of the build process from Excavation to the Pre-possession. This includes making sure the site is safe, coordinating sub-trades and materials to site, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is being done at the required quality levels and proceeding as per the production schedule.

The Role:

    Ensure construction site is safe, clean, organized and that all sub-trades are following applicable
    Safety & Health procedures in accordance with the Home Builder and Manitoba Safety & Health Act
    Provide direction to sub-trades as required to get work done as per the production schedule
    Coordinate materials to site
    Inspections completed on a daily basis whether it is to follow up on work done or a framing inspection with framing sub-trade or ensuring site is ready for Town Inspection
    Ensure all work is being done as per drawings and specifications at the required quality levels
    Ensure that the work done by sub-trades are completed as per scheduled dates and provide weekly updates to the Construction Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

    Preference will be given to a graduate from construction related field
    Some experience in construction management
    Planning and organizational skills
    Communicate effectively
    Be able to problem solve
    Strong computer skills
