Job Description

The Buyer reports to the Purchasing Manager with the responsibility for sourcing requirements and managing the purchase order process in addition to other general purchasing and administrative tasks.


  • Manage purchasing data in SAP S4/HANA platform.
  • Correspond with suppliers to expedite and follow-up on assigned purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Review requisitions for sourcing, obtains bids, and places purchase orders as directed by the Purchasing Manager.
  • Resolve invoice issues to include price adjustments, requests for credit, etc. by working with Accounts Payable and/or vendor.
  • Maintain electronic files and other documents associated with the Purchasing Department.
  • Conduct all responsibilities in a safe manner to affect no lost time or recordable injuries and no property damage.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the Quality and Environmental policies and procedures.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years in Purchasing or similar supply chain role.
  • Preferred manufacturing environment experience
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
