About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Bookkeeper to manage the accounting operations for a small manufacturing company based in Winnipeg. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is confident handling full-cycle bookkeeping, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in accuracy and organization.
You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting leadership with reliable reporting, and ensuring day-to-day accounting functions run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

Perform full-cycle bookkeeping , ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, invoicing, and collections

Complete bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis

Prepare and maintain general ledgers, journal entries, and adjusting entries

Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time

Manage government remittances, including payroll source deductions and related compliance

Support year-end processes, working closely with external accountants

Assist with budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and variance analysis

Prepare and deliver financial reports and summaries for management review

Maintain organized accounting records and documentation across all entities
Qualifications & Experience

3–5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, ideally supporting multiple companies

Strong expertise in Simply Accounting and QuickBooks Online (required)

Solid experience with payroll processing and related regulations

Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
