NDT Level I Assistant

We are seeking motivated Level I Assistants to support NDT Technicians in the field (work will be required in radiation controlled areas). This is an entry-level opportunity with growth potential, offering hands-on training and career development in the NDT industry.

I have multiple positions open across the US, operating from the locations listed.

These positions are a mix of those based in established facilities in the Permian Basin (99% of the time returning to home base at end of working day), and project work (teams operating out of the back of a truck, travelling long distances, staying in temporary accommodation).

My client specializes in providing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services to customers in the oil and gas sector, as well as those in pipeline construction, manufacturing, refining, power, and infrastructure industries across the U.S. With over 20 years of inspection experience, they offer a comprehensive range of testing methods, including radiographic, ultrasonic, penetrant, and magnetic particle testing, amongst others.

Job responsibilities

  •  Assist Level II Technicians with setup, preparation, and execution of NDT inspections.
  •  Handle, transport, and position equipment safely and efficiently.
  •  Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  •  Learn and develop knowledge of NDT methods and industry practices.
  •  Travel to job sites as required (regional and national).
Qualifications
  • IRRSP or State Carded certification (work in radioactive controlled areas required).
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in field environments and travel extensively.

Desirable:

  • Used to working in radiation controlled areas.
  • ASNT Level I certification.
