PPE Regional Sales Manager - Western Canada

1. Objective of the Position:

To develop a portfolio of customers within the identified sales area (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba ), to gain customer loyalty to the company and to promote our sales policy through customer visits.

To develop and manage relationships with end-users and to create sales opportunities which are then to be back-filled by distributors.

To represent the company professionally in the market place ensuring that the company is promoted effectively as a manufacturer of the head-to-toe PPE range.

                                                                                                                                               
2. Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Achieve the sales target as targeted and agreed with the Directors. 

Achieve sales of existing products to customers. 

Establish sales of new products to customers.

Development and progression of the product mix through the promotion of the company sales policy, group sales actions and corporate sales policy

Targets may be revised throughout the year for business reasons, the Sales Manager is expected to achieve any amended target agreed.

Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including the minimization of costs and maximization of sales – especially managing personal time and productivity.

Plan and manage business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy.

Prepare an annual territory business plan detailing the account-by-account strategy that will achieve the sales target for the territory to be agreed. 

Maintain adequate records for the customer base on the territory in accordance with the requirements of the business.

Contribute to the promotion of the company product range through the participation in trade events and fairs.

Manage product, pricing, and margins according to agreed aims.
Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions, ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison.

Develop and maintain existing and new end-users through appropriate propositions, ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison.  Refer all end-user sales to distributors as selected by the end-user of the company as required.

Respond and follow up sales enquiries in a timely manner using appropriate methods.

Provide support to customers including their sales teams through the sale of training packages, the attendance at end-user sales meetings and the promotion of sales actions through the customers.

Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information when necessary.

Communicate and liaise both internally and externally, using appropriate methods to ensure the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships. This to include the regular monitoring, documentation and communication of competitor pricing and sales strategies.

To ensure all documentation required by the Managing Director / National Sales Director is completed and submitted within agreed timescales and to the required standard.

Maintain a satisfactory standard of knowledge of the company products and competitive products.  Utilization of the company online training solution to self-train and to achieve the required standard.

Achieve E-learning knowledge level 3 in all PPE areas within three months of joining the business.

Attend internal meetings as requested by the Managing Director/National Sales Director.

Attend external customer meetings as required to fulfil the role, staying away from home as business needs dictate.

To ensure that all Company property is used and maintained in line with company policy.

At all times he/she should carry out your duties respecting the Health & Safety of yourself and fellow workers.  He/she must also be aware of, and maintain, both the Company’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and the rules of the Company.
